Everyday People with Everyday Issues trying to get closer to God
Values
Presence.
Hell is a real place, but Hell by definition is the absence of God. If Hell is the absence of God then our goal as Christians is to be a landing spot for His Presence and see Hell pushed back.
No one or nothing more important than His Presence in our lives and in our church. Not the pastor, not the board, not the worship leader. The MOST important person in the church is God Himself.
Family.
We want to strengthen families. We want people to consider this family. We want to see a multi-generational revival.
Homestead Church desires to look to those who are coming after us and realize we are building something for them. We also desire to equip those coming after us to look toward those who went before and honor them and thus, see The Lord begin to bring healing to our city, region, and nation.
Transformation.
We desire to see lives transformed. We want to see the things that you have wrestled with become inconsequential. We want you to live differently.
Mattoon will be blessed because we are here. We will see new businesses. We will see the restoration of things lost. We will see crops blessed. We believe Mattoon will become a place where families flock to so they can raise their families here and raise them in a culture of revival. .
Undomesticated.
Jesus is looking for people who are not shaped by the world. Jesus is looking for people who have not been tainted by religion. Jesus is looking for people with fire in their eyes and love in their hearts and He wants to turn them loose on the world.
